WHAT IS WSG?

WSG – WORLD SERIES OF GOLF – is a patented method of play combining the skill of golf and poker into one high octane event. WSG awards cash and prizes to its members & participants through several available opportunities culminating with the Championships.

What is a Satellite Tournament

The WSG satellite tournaments are “feeder” tournaments to win a spot for the WSG Championships. The goal of the WSG satellite tour is to give players with smaller bankrolls the ability to play in larger high buy-in events. All you have to do is finish in the top position to gain an entry position in larger events.

WHAT IS A CIRCUIT EVENT?

Circuit events are extreme high-roller invite only tournaments at some of the most incredible golf destinations around the globe. Top amateur golf & poker players compete alongside the worlds wealthiest enthusiasts for million dollar prize pools.

WHAT EXPENSES ARE COVERED IF I WIN A SPOT AT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS?

Congratulations on winning a WSG Satellite tournament. All winners are responsible for covering their travel and accommodations for the Championships. WSG travel personnel will assist all winners with travel accommodations.

WHAT IS THE WSG CHAMPIONSHIPS?

The WSG Championship is a hole-by-hole, hit and bet, no limit prize tournament played on a professional 18-hole golf course over three days. As players are eliminated, the desire to win the prize only intensifies until only ONE champion remains. If you make it to the WSG Championship tournament, you’ll have the chance at a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with some of the best golf and poker players in the game and win up to $250,000 in cash. The Championships are held each year at world class venues and are televised around the world.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SATELLITE AND A CIRCUIT EVENT?

SATELLITE: This is an official WSG sanctioned event that offers its players the chance to participate in lower buy-in” events. It is only open to WSG Members*. WSG Satellite tournaments are feeder tournaments for the Championship.

CIRCUIT EVENTS: VIP invite only events with larger buy ins that follow the same rules as the satellite tournaments. These events are non feeder tournaments and do not guarantee the winner a spot in WSG Championship event. These are high “pot” single events.

HOW DO I JOIN A WSG TOURNAMENT?

You must become a member of the WSG. Once you sign up you will qualify for a spot in our Tour.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PLAY AN 18-HOLE ROUND?

WSG rounds typically take longer than a standard round of golf. Due to the participants placing their bets on every stroke and the potential to go All IN creates the need for more time. There is a time limit on each stroke to assist in keeping the pace. Players will have 30 Seconds to place their bet and 60 Seconds to take their shot.
